Polka Dot Powerhouse exists to connect the world’s most positive, action-forward, amazing women to build lifelong friendships and business relationships. They host monthly lunch and dinner meetings, along with frequent socializing and business-building events. Here’s some information about a scholarship opportunity for joining the organization.

A Scholarship Opportunity

This year [Polka Dot Powerhouse has a] special opportunity to grant one year-long scholarship to a new member of our chapter. If you might be interested in this opportunity, please read on.


We seek a candidate who fits into one of the two groups below.

1) Previous Guest

A previous guest at a Polka Dot Powerhouse, Greater Boston NW Chapter Connect who expressed a strong interest in joining along with the barrier of financial hardship.

2) Leader of Local Non-Profit Organization

A leader of a local non-profit organization that would benefit from collaborating with our chapter. The leader will educate our members about her group and engage us in her community.


Acceptance of the scholarship will indicate commitment to full participation in membership:

1. Attend at least 9 chapter connects per membership year

2. Regularly connect with members outside meetings

3. Be an engaged, positive, supportive, no-drama community member

4. Promote the benefits of Polka Dot Powerhouse to potential new members

Once awarded, this scholarship is non-transferrable. Upon acceptance, membership (a $299 value) will be in effect for 12 months. If the recipient opts to renew after that period, subsequent membership will be $199/year.

Hello potential job seekers!

Join AE Premium member David Plancon and the Job Seekers Group on Thurs., 5/2, 5:30 at Panera Bread in Porter Sq., Cambridge, for a discussion of issues of interest to job seekers and job holders.  The restaurant has a downstairs section, which is where David probably be if he arrives first.

Depending on your interests, our topics could relate to résumé revision, interview questions, career planning, motivation, or time management, among others.  If you could bring copies of your résumé and sample cover letter, these would help new members to understand your background and career goals.

There will be plenty of literature on-hand to take with you. Some of the literature this evening includes:
